Introduction of Cauvery Water in Kacharakanahalli ward, Introduction of Underground Drainage System (UGD) in the Kacharakanahalli ward Pot Hole Free Roads and overall improvement of the condition of roads across the Kacharakanahalli ward. Introduction of Sodium Vapor Street Light, Cobbled footpaths and installation of more than 6 HIMAST lamps across various locations to provide better lighting for traffic movement.  Apart from the basic infrastructure betterment, beautification aspects like constructing 7 New Parks that are spread across the Kacharakanahalli


Roads & Footpaths

The people of Kacharakanahalli Ward had less than 15% asphalted! concrete roads till 1996 with no proper drainage and supporting facilities. Today, we can proudly state that our people have 99% asphalted / concrete roads laid with underground drainage, water lines and supporting infrastructure facilities laid underneath. Quality the toughest challenge has been successfully maintained with regular inspections, surprise visits, morning Padayatras & night time inspections.


Parks Street Name Boards

7 New Parks have been constructed for benefit of people. These Parks are very well maintained and are regularly used by the residents for all leisure activities. Street Name Boards have been installed to provide easy access, causing lesser confusion to people moving in and around. Dr. Rajkumar Musical Fountain Park, one of the 7 parks at Kammanahalli which also hosts the Second Largest Musical Fountain in the State.


Cauvery water to every home: dream comes true

The dream of every resident has now come true, where all the residents of Kacharakanahalli ward, get Cauvery water. Newly purchased Motor & Pipe Line worth Rs. 1.5 Crore has been installed, for better pressure and supply of Cauvery Water to the Kacharakanahalli Ward. A satisfying result after constant monitoring and follow up through meetings twice - thrice a week on the project sites to complete in the stipulated period. "Special Initiative", Supply of water through Water Tankers when shortage of Cauvery water occurs.



Today, we can proudly state that the sewage water of every building gets connected to the underground drainage system resulting in the improvement of quality of living standards. Thanks for the cooperation extended by each and every one.
Our ward constitutes 80% of unplanned revenue layout. Earlier, individual residence had soak pits on the streets, it had a pinching cost on them along with environmental discomforts like stinking, contamination of ground water, health hazards, mosquito menace etc. Hence, it was a mammoth task to take up the Underground drainage (UGD) system.


Social development

More than 5000 Ration cards have been distributed in Kacharakanahalli Ward. Development of Roads, Drainage and other basic infrastructure at various slum areas. Kacharakanahalli burial grounds have been developed. Corporation Community Hall and Multipurpose hall have been constructed for the public's convenience. Public library is under construction. More than 9000 eligible families have been given Vajapayee Arogya Shree card, enabling them to avail Government funded free treatments. Polio-Drop Camps have been regularly conducted at Kacharakanahalli Ward. Various Health Camps have been conducted throughout Kacharakanahalli Ward Widow & Old Age Pension Schemes are being provided.
